What is Crypto Profit?
The Crypto Profit Calculator estimates your profit or loss from buying and selling any cryptocurrency — Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Shiba Inu (SHIB), Dogecoin (DOGE), XRP, Solana (SOL), BNB, Cardano (ADA), Polkadot (DOT), and any other token.
Simply enter how much you invested (or plan to invest), the buy price, and the sell price. The calculator accounts for exchange trading fees (typically 0.1% on WazirX, CoinDCX, and Binance) and shows your net profit after all fees.
This is especially useful for: planning crypto trades before executing, calculating P&L for tax filing (30% tax on crypto gains in India + 1% TDS), comparing different entry/exit scenarios, and tracking profits on meme coins like SHIB and DOGE where massive price swings are common.
Important: Cryptocurrency is extremely volatile and speculative. In India, crypto gains are taxed at a flat 30% with no deductions allowed (Section 115BBH). Losses cannot be set off against any other income. 1% TDS applies on all crypto transfers above ₹10,000.
Formula
Coins Purchased = (Investment − Buy Fee) / Buy Price Gross Exit = Coins × Sell Price Net Exit = Gross Exit − Sell Fee Profit/Loss = Net Exit − Investment Return % = (P&L / Investment) × 100
Example — ₹10,000 in a coin at ₹50, sell at ₹75: Buy fee (0.1%): ₹10 Coins: ₹9,990 / ₹50 = 199.8 coins Gross exit: 199.8 × ₹75 = ₹14,985 Sell fee (0.1%): ₹14.99 Net exit: ₹14,970 Profit: ₹4,970 (49.7% return)
After 30% crypto tax in India: ₹4,970 × 0.30 = ₹1,491 tax Net profit after tax: ₹3,479
