What is 7th Pay Commission?

The 7th Pay Commission Calculator computes the salary of Central Government employees based on the latest pay matrix, DA (Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), and other allowances.

The 7th CPC was implemented from January 2016 with a minimum basic pay of ₹18,000 and maximum ₹2,50,000. DA is revised twice yearly (Jan & July) to offset inflation — currently at 53% (Jan 2026).

Formula

Gross Salary = Basic Pay + DA + HRA + TA + Other Allowances

DA = Basic Pay × DA% (revised every Jan & Jul)
HRA = Basic Pay × City Class%
  X cities (Delhi, Mumbai, etc.): 24%
  Y cities (Lucknow, Jaipur, etc.): 16%
  Z cities (all others): 8%

NPS Deduction = 10% of Basic Pay
Employer NPS contribution = 14% of Basic Pay
